Teaching Follow-up

  • Ask:
    • Why did Jesus wash his disciples’ feet?
    • Jesus told his disciples that he was going away. Where was he going?
    • Jesus knew his disciples would be sad when he was gone. But when they understood where he had, how would they feel?
    • We, too, can be full of joy knowing that Jesus died for our sins and that he is in heaven, preparing a place for each of us.
    • Jesus knew he was going to die on the cross and that it would be very painful. Why did he do it?
    • Remember the leaders who were very jealous of Jesus in our story last week. They were still very jealous. What did they do to Jesus?
    • When Jesus died, his followers were sad. What very important thing did they forget?
